Knowing Jesus

Study the shape of Jesus’ life and ministry as Prof. N.T. Wright leads you through a topical theological journey into what it means to know and be known by Jesus. You will examine why the Good News he proclaimed was a welcome announcement that changed the course of human history, forever. These courses will help you to understand the meaning of his death and why the whole world changed on what we call ‘Good Friday’. Explore how Jesus’ followers are to be people of justice and mercy who work for God’s healing love in today’s world. You will learn why and how the resurrection of Jesus accomplished our future hope of life after life after death.

The curriculum that comprises this Certification includes five courses that supplement the material in Prof. Wright’s books. You are not required to purchase the books, but you may wish to use them as study guides.

At the end of each section, you will have the opportunity to test your knowledge of the material with corresponding quizzes and time to reflect with discussion questions. The overall aim is that your understanding and thinking about Jesus the Messiah, the Gospel, resurrection, and Christian hope would be renewed towards the vision for a whole new way to be human in today’s world.
